Cooking

As a regular consumer of my cooking, I can assure you that I have seen food worse than mine. I like to cook and try out new recipes. Cooking over a beer is one of the most underrated pleasures. At the moment, I can easily judge someone's cooking skills just by looking at their cutting skills. Learning to make a good biriyani was a milestone and recently my wife has learnt to cook better than me.

As an Indian, it is in my blood to use spices whether they are needed or not. We even use spices in our tea. I like to cook bastardised versions of Italian and Spanish recipes with Indian spices and overcooking. Spanish omelette, carbonara and bolognese are some of the favourites. At the moment I am learning to cook without spices. Especially when spices help to cover up any cooking mistakes.
